This Refund Policy explains how trials, cancellations, and refunds work across Stylchat's two payment models: Bring Your Own Infrastructure (BYOI) one-time purchases and Stylchat Managed Infrastructure recurring subscriptions.
Trailops LLC is the merchant of record for all Stylchat purchases and subscriptions. Charges appear on your card or bank statement as Stylchat.
1. Bring Your Own Infrastructure (BYOI) One-Time Purchases
Applies to one-time category packs, agency bundles, Pro unlocks, and extra widget slots.
- Try Before You Buy: Stylchat offers a permanent free tier so you can create a widget, customize its theme, connect it to your own webhook, and embed it on your website before paying anything.
- All Sales Are Final: Because one-time purchases unlock digital themes, features, and widget slots immediately and permanently upon payment, all one-time BYOI purchases are final and non-refundable. By completing a one-time purchase, you request immediate access to the digital features and acknowledge that you waive any statutory cooling-off withdrawal right to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2. Managed Infrastructure Subscriptions & BYOI Addon Packs
Applies to recurring monthly Managed Starter/Pro subscriptions and monthly BYOI addon packs (Data Pack $5/mo, Desk Pack $5/mo).
- Cancel Anytime: You can cancel your subscription or add-on pack at any time via your dashboard, the Stripe billing portal, or by emailing billing@stylchat.com.
- Active Until Period End: When you cancel, your subscription or add-on pack access remains active until the end of your current paid monthly or annual billing period.
- BYOI Add-on Packs Are Non-Refundable: Data Pack and Desk Pack charges are never refunded, including the first month, partial months, unused time, and extra agent blocks. Packs have no free trial. Cancel anytime to stop the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
- No Prorated Refunds: We do not provide partial-month or partial-year prorated refunds for unused days remaining in a billing cycle after renewal, except where required by applicable law.
- 30-Day Freeze Window: Once your paid billing period ends, your subscription or pack enters an inactive 30-day freeze preservation window before permanent deletion of hosted data, as detailed in our Terms of Service. Your underlying BYOI licence and self-hosted workflows are unaffected by pack cancellation.
3. 14-Day Free Trial, Cooling-Off Rights & Billing Errors
- 14-Day Free Trial & Free Tier Evaluation: Eligible new Managed Infrastructure subscribers receive a 14-day free trial alongside access to our permanent free BYOI tier to evaluate the platform before any subscription charges occur. If you cancel before your 14-day trial ends, you will not be charged.
- 14-Day Statutory Cooling-Off Period: For consumers in jurisdictions with mandatory statutory cancellation rights (such as the EU/UK), the 14-day cooling-off window begins on the initial date your trial or service starts. Outside the free trial window, subscription charges are non-refundable except for verified billing errors or where a refund is required by law; any such legally required refund is adjusted to deduct the proportionate value of platform resources and AI usage consumed.
- Billing Errors: We will always correct a verified billing error — such as a duplicate charge or a technical fault on our end that prevented purchased features from unlocking — reported to us within 30 days of the transaction.
4. What Happens When a Refund Is Issued
Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method via Stripe in the original currency of purchase. When a refund is processed, the corresponding plan entitlements or extra widget slots granted by that transaction are reverted on your account.
