Privacy Policy

Stylchat is a product of Trailops LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Wyoming, with its principal place of business at 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("Trailops," "we," "us," or "our"). Trailops LLC is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Stylchat provides a dashboard for building, customizing, and embedding a chat widget that connects to a webhook you control (typically an n8n workflow). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Stylchat dashboard and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using Stylchat, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address to authenticate and manage your account, via our authentication provider, which also supports signing in with Google or LinkedIn.

Widget configuration. We store the widgets you create: their name, theme/appearance settings, and the webhook URL you connect them to.

Chat messages and user communications. When you use the Stylchat chat widget (especially through the browser extension or mobile app for live chat), the following data is transmitted to and stored on Stylchat servers: message text, uploaded files, and voice recordings. This data is retained for conversation history, debugging, and compliance purposes. Data transits over HTTPS. End-to-end encryption is not currently implemented; it is planned for a future release.

Mobile app permissions. The Stylchat mobile app requests photo library access to let you attach an image to a live-chat reply, and microphone access to let you record a voice message during a live chat. These permissions are only used for the features described here — the app does not request camera access.

Authentication tokens. Clerk session tokens are transmitted with every API request to authenticate and authorize your requests.

Payment information. Purchases (the one-time Pro unlock and additional widget slots) are sold by Trailops LLC and processed by Stripe on its behalf. We receive and store confirmation that a purchase was made, its amount, and its status (paid or refunded) — we do not receive or store your card number or other full payment card details; Stripe handles that directly. Trailops LLC retains the resulting transaction records as its business and tax records.

Usage data. We may collect basic technical data (such as browser type and error logs) generated by your use of the dashboard, for debugging and reliability purposes.

2. Browser storage only

The embedded widget may store a session identifier and recent message history in your visitor's own browser (via sessionStorage) purely so the chat window can restore its state on that visitor's device. This data stays in the visitor's browser and is never transmitted to Stylchat.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the dashboard and your account;
• Authenticate you and manage your sign-in;
• Process purchases and apply the resulting plan/entitlements to your account;
• Generate the embed script for the widgets you create;
• Deliver chat messages and user communications through the widget;
• Respond to support requests;
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse.

4. Cookies and analytics

The Stylchat marketing website (stylchat.com) uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

• Essential cookies. Required for the site to function (for example, remembering your cookie preferences) and cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies. With your consent, we use an analytics provider to understand how visitors use the marketing site (pages viewed, general traffic patterns) so we can improve it. These are off by default and only activate if you accept them in the cookie banner.

A cookie consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site and reloading the page. We use Google's Consent Mode, so analytics cookies are not set, and no data is sent to our analytics provider, until you actively accept them.

The Stylchat dashboard (app.stylchat.com) does not use analytics cookies — this section applies only to the public marketing website.

5. Third-party service providers

We rely on the following subprocessors to operate Stylchat:

• Our authentication provider — account sign-in and session management.
• Our hosting provider — hosts our database and application servers, and delivers the static dashboard and embed script.
• Stripe — payment processing for one-time purchases, acting on behalf of Trailops LLC as merchant of record.
• An analytics provider — marketing website traffic analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner.
• A cookie consent management tool — remembers and enforces your cookie preferences on the marketing website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the service described above or as required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain account and widget data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a widget or your account, we remove the corresponding configuration data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

8. Children's privacy

Stylchat is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. International data transfers

Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own. By using Stylchat, you consent to your information being processed in those locations.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including authentication, access controls, and row-level security on our database) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" above when we do. Continued use of Stylchat after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
